Have you ever wondered what it was like on Solomon's Porch when the early Church met there?  From the Book of Acts we know that the Church met and then went to a local home to have fellowship, worship and communion.

Solomon's Porch was just to the left of the Eastern Gate (or Golden Gate as it is also called) and directly in front of the Temple.  This is where Jesus, in John 10 starting with verse 23, first reveals to the leaders of the Synagogue the unity of He and God the Father.  He also reveals that His sheep hear his voice and follow him.

Peter and John were headed toward Solomon's Porch when Peter healed the lame man begging for alms.

In Acts 3:11 we see that they were followed to the Porch and Peter addresses the crowds about the deity of Jesus and that they had murdered their Messiah.  This speech got them, and the man healed, brought before the Sanhedrin.  Peter and John's boldness impressed the Sanhedrin and proved that they had been with Jesus (Acts 4:13).  The Sanhedrin could find no way to punish Peter and John because of the proof of the healed man and the crowds that had now gathered.  When Peter and John got back among the other disciples to pray and praise God for this, the Holy Spirit fell again and shook the place they were in.  They received another infilling of the Holy Spirit which made them even more bold (Acts 4:31).

So, you see Solomon's Porch was a special place for the Early Church!

Many important things were initiated on Solomon's Porch.  Jesus gave us the proclamation of His unity with the Father which is vital to our Christian walk.  He assured us that His sheep hear his voice and because of that we follow Him.  The evidence of unity and fellowship in the manner intended for the church is shown.  Miracles and evangelistic boldness are evidenced here.  And, all of these things add up to a regular renewal and impartation of the Holy Spirit to the church that meets there.

Solomon's Porch is the example of what church was supposed to be like.  It is our example of the church Jesus designed and the Holy Spirit built.

If you were looking for that "Church" and for the manifestations of power, praise and the presence of the Lord found on the Biblical Solomon's Porch, you've come to the right place.

We desire to live, move and have our being in such a place, as well as reaching out the dying World the way that Early Church did.

If you agree with us or are blessed by Solomon's Porch then we invite you to be a part of this new online fellowship.  If you feel led, and are able, a PayPal button is to your left to support this effort.

Enjoy your journey.  If there is anything we can do for you please do not hesitate to ask.
